Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Khurda Road Division under the East Coast Railway (ECoR), Alok Tripathi, conducted a Window Trailing Inspection between Khurda Road and Kerjang (Angul) Railway Section on Tuesday, along with senior officers of the division.
The inspection was aimed at ensuring the safety, reliability, and smooth flow of train operations over the section. During the inspection, the track and associated infrastructure were thoroughly examined. Various safety parameters were reviewed, including rail track geometry and alignment, crossings and turnouts, bridges, minor structures, signals, interlocking systems, drainage arrangements, protective works, and fencing/guarding.

The Progress of the 3rd and 4th Line works in the Budhapank–Rajathgarh–Salegaon section between Cuttack and Angul was also reviewed to ensure timely completion, augment line capacity, and enhance operational efficiency for seamless train movement.
Tripathi also inspected Tata Steel Limited (TSL) siding at Meramandali and Jindal Steel Plant Limited (JSPL) siding at Kerjang, Angul, and discussed measures to improve freight movement and coordination with industrial stakeholders.
The inspection was conducted to ensure safe train movement, improve infrastructure reliability, and benefit the general public, rail passengers, and freight customers, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Khurda Road Division.
